Branching out for a Green Economy
Our Global economy is at a point in history where it has never been before. Maintaining and producing the necessary means to sustain a population as large as the human race ( 7 billion) has become an imperative challenge. The forests are key in our spiritual and physical well-being, and therefore maintaining a balance and a sustainable life is the only way our specie will be able to progress without mayor harm to our planet. Governments need to work with civil society, indigenous groups, and the private sector to make sustainable forest management financially worthwhile.
“We are the first generation of leaders to have the chance to take decisive action and probably the last generation to have the option of not to do so.”
- Pavan Sukhdov (UNEP)
"There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first."
